Hermann Levi was an important Jewish composer, conductor and artist whose biography must be remembered today.

Hermann Levi's path and his musical and biographical legacy are significant for our society on many levels,

but the mausoleum of the honorary citizen of Garmisch-Partenkirchen was forgotten and has fallen into ruin. The design intends to oppose the disappearance of memories.

By allowing visitors to rediscover the former mausoleum in its fragmentary form, gaps in the past are made visible and negotiable and at the same time brought into the present and future with a confident and contemporary statement.
